Round one: The first match
The Fears are growing restless. Which means we should get started before they decide to kill us all.
I will now draw the numbers of our first champions. First up is Kiro Cloudwatcher. Wait, do we allow cats in this tournament? What even is a cat-kraken? You know what, never mind we'll just go with it.
This Eldritch cat is the champion of the Masked God. Which is a Fear I've never even heard of before. Are we sure this is even a real contestant?
Alright, I'm being told that yes the Masked god is a real fear and yes we allow cats in the tournament. Which seems unfair but okay. The Masked god must be really shy, which could be why I've never heard of him. It also explains the masks.
The opposing champion will be, hold on my hand is stuck in the lottery jar.
There it is. Our cat champion's opponent will be "Tod the Reckless". This skitchy kid is championing the Plague Doctor.
You all must be wondering if we have taken measures to protect our audience from the Plague doctor's diseases. The answer to that is an obvious no. We ran out of funds after the hotdog stands. Don't worry though, I the announcer am perfectly safe up here in my glass box.
Today's match will take place in a haunted house! We have waited long enough, champions take your positions! Three, Two, One, FIGHT!!
Kiro the Eldritch cat starts off in the attic. They seem to be drawing something on the wall with their tail. Silly cat this is no time for art.
Downstairs Tod is silently making his way through the house. Which is impressive with how creaky this old house is. Tod has arrived in the Kitchen and is looking for his opponent in all the cabinets. Which is a perfectly valid place to find a cat in.
Tod will not find the cat there though. Because said cat is still making art up in the attic. Let's go take a look at what they're drawing. It seems to be a ghost of sorts. Perfectly fitting for this arena. Good job kitty. Now don't forget that you're being hunted.
Tod has not found the cat but did find a box of cookies. Congratulations. The search continues as Tod makes their way up the stairs. Still not making a sound. The cat however is making a lot of noise upstairs. Now Tod knows exactly where the cat is.
Tod makes their way to the attic when suddenly the door flies open and the cat comes flying out. Tod braces for impact but instead the cat just flies right past them. Right behind the cat is the ghost it was drawing on the wall.
It has comealive.. uh undead and is now chasing the cat. Tod in turn runs after the ghost. The three of them run around the house trying to catch each other.
Tod notices the cat running into the master bedroom and chucks one of their novichok grenades after it. The gas fills the room but the cat is already outside climbing to the roof.
The ghost turns around and is now chasing Tod.
The cat is cleaning itself.
Tod has fled into the basement. it is completely dark in here. Hold on.
This won't do, we need some light in there.
Wait.. Oh no.. That's where we kept the real ghosts.
The lights flicker on and.. the real ghosts are surrounding Tod and the art ghost. Tod and the art ghost are hugging each other. They have no way of escape.
Oh no, there go the lights again.
Ouch that sounds painful.
Uh, we seems to be having some technical difficulties. Please wait while we try to get the lights back on.
There we go.
Lights are back and.. Tod and the art ghost are ripped to shreds. I guess that means the cat wins.
Wait, where are the real ghosts?
What do you mean we can't find them?
