Round 7 Finals: Neko vs Kiro Cloudwatcher!
This is it... The final Round. Who will win... The eldritch Cat Thing championing a fear I've never heard of or the woman with a bird motif, cat name and also championing a fear I've never heard of?! Who knows... Although I'm rooting for Kiro since I at least actually remember Kiro from the last tournament and I like rooting for things that are familiar to me. Although I don't remember them being an eldritch creature last time... I do remember them having an adorable cat though. Also they apparently killed Somnam in this tournament and frankly screw that guy.
This time the fighting is taking place in a grand... Perfectly normal arena... Sometimes I feel like they really skimp on the budget for these final fights...
Curiously this arena's close quarters and high visibility, means there's not much chance of Kiro getting to use their drawing ability or Neko using her illusion ability. At least not to great effect... Should be interesting to see how they adapt to this disadvantage.
Both have been set in their respective corners and the fight is commencing. The two are just staring at each other waiting for the other to make the first move. Neko has raised her cane to draw the sword out, but Kiro lashes out with tentacles and grabs hold of the cane. Unfortunately this did not prevent Neko from releasing the blade leaving Kiro holding only the cane part. The two clash, the tentacle holding the cane attempting to use it as a bludgeoning weapon as Neko deflects with her blade and does her best to get towards Kiro as they lash at her with the cane and their tentacles. It doesn't seem very fair at the moment, but Neko is doing a surprisingly good job at staying alive, but she doesn't seem to be able to get herself any closer. It's a standoff, but not much of one as it's unlikely Neko will be able to hold out for long, still Kiro apparently decided to ensure their victory. Using some of their tentacles to keep Neko at bay while they try to focus on drawing something.
Unfortunately this seems to have had the opposite effect as their divided attention has let Neko deal with the tentacles more effectively and she's managed to get through the tentacle barrage and has reached Kiro. Kiro is not entirely distracted though and managed to barely dodge Neko's attack, but they've been forced away from their drawing and now they're at close quarters which gives Neko a much better chance at victory. Kiro is being forced to dodge rapid attacks from Neko their tentacles becoming much less effective at this range as Neko can more easily dodge them while keeping them on the defensive. In a desperation attempt Kiro has suddenly lunged at Neko and wrapped themself around her face biting her aggressively. That looks quite painful and Neko is struggling to get them off of her as they continue biting and seemingly trying to strangle her.
Neko's taken a daring strategy and has stabbed her blade up towards her own face which is damn risky with a kittykraken clinging to your face, but she's managed to stab the blade through Kiro's body without injuring herself. As Kiro dies she manages to force them off and with that it seems that Neko has won.
Neko is our new champion and The Valravn... Whatever that is is the winner of this strange strange tournament!
Now if you'll excuse me... I'm gonna go enjoy this world I've apparently missed for so lo- Oh hello... What are you doing here? Yeah tournaments over and I'm gonna be taking a vaca- Oh god no not the cryo sleep again! N-
